Meeting between the College of Business and Economics and Universiti Putra Malaysia: Discussing Cooperation Methods including Human Exchange

On September 6th, the College of Business and Economics held a meeting with a delegation from the School of Business and Economics at Universiti Putra Malaysia, discussing ways to enhance cooperation, including human exchanges.



From CAU, Chang-Bong Kim, Dean of the College of Business and Economics was present, along with Chang-Bum Choi, In-Woo Nam, and Hye-Kyung Yoo, professors from the School of Business Administration. From Universiti Putra Malaysia, the attendees included Dr. Anusuiya, the Assistant Dean, along with Professors Dr. Nor Siah Jaharuddin, Dr. Jo Ann Ho, Dr. Syamsul Herman Mohammad Afandi, and Norazlyn Kmal Basha.

Through this meeting, both institutions discussed ways to expand the exchange student program between their business schools, aiming to enhance exchange programs for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students. They agreed to implement cultural experience programs within the MBA curriculum, including online lectures, and discussed opportunities for PhD holders to serve as international faculty at both universities. They also negotiated a program for faculty exchange lasting from one semester to about a year, and exchanged ideas about conducting joint seminars for research collaboration.



On that day, Universiti Putra Malaysia, which discussed strengthening cooperation with the College of Business and Economics, ranked 148th in the 2025 QS World University Rankings and 4th in the Asian University rankings, being recognized as a university with outstanding international competitiveness. Following its exchange with Chulalongkorn University in Thailand last July, the College of Business and Economics is continuing its efforts to enhance international competitiveness through this collaboration.
