Chung-Ang University (CAU) successfully held the “2024 Miracle Day Baseball Pep Rally with the President” event on the 21st.
Miracle Day is an event participated in by all CAU members, including students, the faculty, and staff, as well as medical staff and affiliated kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school officials, staged as a pep rally during the Doosan Bears' home game at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium. The event, which was first held in 2016, was temporarily suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic, but resumed last year and once again established itself as a grand annual event.
On the 21st, about 3,000 CAU members gathered at the Jamsil Baseball Stadium, where the match between Doosan Bears and SSG Landers took place.
In addition to the snacks set including hamburgers, nuggets, and cola prepared by the Office of Student Affairs, cheering tools, stickers, fans, and bracelets featuring the mascot Puang were also provided.
Shin Hyungook, president of the alumni association, threw the first pitch of the game. Seoul Camp Student Council President Kim Nayeon hit the first ball, while Yoon Gyuran, president of the DaVinci Camp student council, served as the catcher, ushering the start of the game.
The CAU members, who filled the first base outfield, cheered and shouted enthusiastically throughout the game, and later enjoyed Doosan's victory together.
President Park Sang-gue said, “I am glad to hold the Miracle Day event with the Doosan Bears after last year’s resumption. All CAU members enjoyed watching the baseball game and felt relief from stress from school and work. We will continue holding Miracle Day, a special baseball viewing event with the Doosan Bears.”
