King Sejong Institute in Zagreb, Croatia―Co-operated by CAU and University of Zagreb―Held a Graduation Ceremony for its Korean Course

King Sejong Institute in Zagreb co-operated by Chung-Ang University (CAU) and the University of Zagreb, Croatia held a graduation ceremony for the Korean course on December 23 at Esplanade Hotel, Zagreb.

To celebrate the graduation that was held at the end of the year, Pavo Barišic, an invited president of Zagreb King Sejong Institute and professor of the University of Zagreb Croatian Studies, and Park Jeong-Hyun, a vice consul of the Korean Embassy, honored the event with their presence. Director Kim Se-Il of the Office of Extended Learning and Korean Language Institute extended his congratulation to the graduates of Sejong Institute through video.

Presided over by two students wearing Korean traditional costume Hanbok, the graduation ceremony presented the certificate and souvenir to the 40 graduates who completed the Korean course in this 2nd semester. K-pop club, Bluered, prepared the performance for the ceremony.

King Sejong Institute in Zagreb was designated as a new King Sejong institute in September 2020. After 6 months of trial running, it began its official operation last year. It devotes itself to promoting the Korean language and culture by providing not only Korean language programs of different levels—beginner, intermediate, etc.—but also various cultural opportunities. Thanks to the continuous local interest of Croatia in the Korean language and culture, more than 100 students find King Sejong Institute in Zagreb every semester.
