The “Spring 2024 Farewell Ceremony,” a farewell event for the invited exchange students hosted by the International Office of Chung-Ang University (CAU, President Park Sang-gue) and international student ambassador GLAM, was successfully held. 

The event was held to congratulate foreign exchange students who successfully completed their studies at CAU. After the Office of International Affairs distributed souvenirs and exchange student certificates, the event began in earnest with a farewell speech from Director Woo Soohan of the Office of International Affairs.

Video clips of the Global Fair and Blue-Ming Day events that were held throughout the semester were also shown. Exchange students reflected on their memories by watching clips of events they had personally participated in.

As a surprise event, all GLAM members sang famous pop songs from singers such as Taylor Swift. During the performance, the exchange students in the audience stood up, sang along, and joined in the fun.

Lastly, video letters filmed by the exchange students themselves were shown. The participants were impressed with the clip containing memories of the students’ life in Korea and at CAU.

Siahaya Fiona Divanya, a student from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology in Indonesia, said, “It was great to have an exciting and useful experience while studying at CAU.”

Dewi Serlinda Vionita from Diponegoro University said, “It was great to meet many good friends in Korea. I would like to thank GLAM and the Office of International Affairs for planning and organizing today’s event.”

Director Woo said, “I would like to congratulate every one of you for completing the semester. I hope that the various experiences you acquired at CAU will be of great help in the future.”
