The “Chung-Ang University Campus Tour (CAU CAT),” a campus tour for international students organized by the International Affairs Team of the Office of International Affairs, recorded the highest number of participants ever, proving that CAU is the most popular university among international students.

On the 29th, the CAU CAT program was held in the following order: ▲ Showing of CAU’s promotional video, ▲ an international admission information session, ▲ Q&A, ▲ taking of commemorative photos, and ▲ campus tour. About 160 domestic and foreign students participated, and showed deep interest in enrolling at CAU.

Professor Khan Nelly, of the Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, and 20 Kazakh high school students from Astana and Almaty attended the morning program. At the admission information session, Kazakh students asked a variety of questions on preparing to study at CAU. The PR video and campus tour in Kazakh language prepared by the International Affairs Team drew an enthusiastic response from the students.

The afternoon program was held for prospective foreign students residing in Korea. About 140 students and instructors from 42 high schools, including Guro High School, Youngnak Medical Science High School, Yanggok High School, Ansan Design Culture High School, Gyeongbok Business High School, and Ansan Technical High School, as well as language trainees from the CAU Institute of Language Education, participated in the program, proving CAU’s popularity.

The Office of International Affairs thoroughly introduced CAU to participants through a campus tour led by the CAU Leaders of International Students (CALIS). The tour included answering students' questions to further increase their motivation to apply. It also increased the participants’ satisfaction with the program after talking about the student cafeteria and CAU’s unique selling point, the CAU Burger.

CAU CAT, which finished successfully with the largest number of participants ever, is a monthly program. The Office of International Affairs holds it on the last Friday of every month as part of a strategy to attract the rapidly increasing number of foreign students enrolled in domestic high schools and international students living in Korea.

A representative of the office said, “In addition to CAU CAT, we are also holding on-site admission information sessions for foreigners. We plan to expand these programs to promote our school actively to foreign students attending domestic high schools.”
