This agreement is expected to strengthen our university’s cooperative relationship with Iran among many Middle East countries, as Yoon Seok-Heon, Chair of the Commission on Asian Economic Development, has his expertise in the Middle East and is especially well-known as an ‘Iranian source’. Chairman Yoon also served as a director of the Korea-Iran Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Yoon said, “Iran has big cultural differences with neighboring Middle Eastern countries, using a different language and calendar system. The country has a high preference for Korean cultural content, as its interest in Korean Wave (Hallyu) shows. It will lead to great attention on Chung-Ang University, which has strengths in those fields.” He added, “I will employ a well-built network to have many talents visit CAU.”
