Chung-Ang University has achieved a remarkable feat by having the most number of majors ever ranked in the 'QS World University Ranking by Subject 2025'.

Since the appointment of President Park Sang-gue in 2020, Chung-Ang University has declared its transition to a research-oriented institution and has continued to strengthen its research capabilities. Along with last year, specific majors within five academic fields—▲Arts & Humanities, ▲Engineering & Technology, ▲Life Sciences & Medicine, ▲Natural Sciences, and ▲Social Sciences & Management—have all made it to the rankings. Following the entry of two majors in the 2024 TOP 51+ and a total of 19 majors in the rankings, Chung-Ang University has made a significant leap within just one year, with four majors in the Top 51+ and 29 majors in the rankings, achieving the best performance in its history.

This year, in addition to Nursing and Petroleum Engineering, which were included in the TOP 51+ last year, the fields of Library and Information Science, and Social Policy & Administration have newly entered the rankings, demonstrating our global academic competitiveness. Additionally, the fields of Architecture and Building Science, Sociology, Linguistics, and Pharmacy & Pharmacology maintained their positions within the top 100, while the majors that entered the rankings showed a significant rise, with many improving their positions compared to the previous year. These achievements of Chung-Ang University are analyzed as the result of continuous improvement in the quality of research outcomes and efforts to enhance research support systems, such as international collaborative research.

Chung-Ang University representative stated, "This achievement is an important indicator that shows Chung-Ang University is growing into a global institution, and we will continue to leap forward as a research-oriented university with world-class academic competitiveness."
