
Chung-Ang University has joined hands with the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (President Shin Hee-dong) to discover talented researchers and strengthen research capabilities.
The 'Academic-Industrial Exchange Agreement Ceremony between Chung-Ang University (CAU) and the Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI) for the Activation of Academic-Industry Exchange and Mutual Development' was held on the 25th of last month (Tuesday) at the President's Conference Room on the 3rd floor of Building 201 (Main Administration Building).
The ceremony was attended by representatives from KETI, including President Shin Hee-dong, Vice President for Research Cho Jin-woo, Director of the Materials, Components & Energy R&D Laboratory Lee Sang-hak, as well as Chung-Ang University representatives such as President Park Sang-gue, Executive Vice President for Research Seong Maeng-je, Dean of the College of Creative ICT Engineering Baek Kwang-hyun, and Director of the Office of Research Jang Hang-bae.
This agreement was made with the intention of promoting mutual research collaboration based on the excellent talent and infrastructure of both Chung-Ang University and KETI. Through this, the two institutions plan to collaborate and exchange in various fields, including ▲securing research projects through the planning of joint research tasks and the shared use of infrastructure, ▲conducting convergence research projects and mutual exchange of research personnel, and ▲mutual cooperation for the establishment and expansion of a global research network.
Chung-Ang University and KETI announced that they will select key areas for future collaboration, mutually appoint academic-industry professors, and discuss the details through the operation of a joint steering committee. It is expected that various collaborative research between the two institutions will be conducted, focusing on global key research areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, energy, secondary batteries, and robotics.

Shin Hee-dong, president of Korea Electronics Technology Institute, stated, "In order to stay competitive in response to the rapidly changing global environment, fostering talent is more important than anything else. Through this agreement with Chung-Ang University, we will strive to discover talented researchers and ensure that meaningful results are achieved for both institutions."
President Park Sang-gue stated, "Through our collaboration with the Korea Electronics Technology Institute, it seems we have created an opportunity for Chung-Ang University’s students to grow even further. It is expected that this will contribute not only to both institutions but also to the national competitiveness of our country."
