An orientation program for CK-II Chung-Ang University (CAU) 2017 International Winter Program, organized by CAU’s Office of International Affairs (OIA), was held in Main Auditorium located on the 2nd floor of Building 303, also known as Law School Building, at 12 p.m. on January 19th, 2018 (Friday). A total of 160 participants including international students from CAU’s partnering universities in Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Australia together with CAU students and staff members attended the orientation program.

This orientation program–consisting of introducing CAU and its international winter programs, explaining the regulations concerning CAU’s Center for Human Rights and Residence Hall, taking questions and giving answers, taking a campus tour–was prepared to help international students well adapt to campus life in Korea.

Executive Director Hong Jun-hyun of CAU’s OIA said in a video clip which contained his welcoming remarks, “I hope that international students experience a variety of aspects of Korean culture and build up good memories over a relatively short period of two and half weeks.”

International Winter Program, organized by CAU’s OIA and first implemented in 2014, is known as a hybrid program, where students can not only learn the Korean language, but take part in both special lectures on Korean culture, Korean society, and Korean studies and other cultural events for a period of two and half weeks. This year’s International Winter Program is held from January 18th to February 3rd, 2018.

Other than International Winter Program, CAU’s OIA also operates an annual International Summer Program during the summer vacation and other short-term international programs during the semester.
