CK-II CAU 2017 International Summer Program Session I, held for a period of four weeks from June 25th, 2017 (Sunday), contained a variety of activities such as taking major courses (related to Korean Studies, International Logistics, and Nanotechnology), attending a special lecture on Korean Studies, and various cultural events which gave students an opportunity to experience Korean culture and society.

Elizabeth Acland Collins (Australian University of Technology Sydney which has not signed an exchange agreement with CAU)–the representative international student of this program–said, “I had been not aware of this CK-II CAU 2017 International Summer Program Session I, but my friend asked me to participate in this program together. So I did, and at first, I felt worried and exited at the same time. After four weeks since I participated in the program, I now have only beautiful memories with no worry. Among several cultural events, watching a baseball game was the most exiting experience for me since it was the first time for me to watch the game in person. In closing, I would like to extend my gratitude to my fellow students and OIA’s staff members for being together and helping me a lot.”

Afterwards, Lee Hyun-soo (School of Business Administration, College of Business & Economics, CAU)–the representative CAU student of this program–said, “Taking part in this program was beyond my expectation. It is hard to say that I had nothing to regret, but attending several cultural events and special lectures on Korean Studies was not only interesting, but unforgettable even for me as a Korean. Time flies, which left much to be desired. If there is any chance, I would like to also participate in International Winter Program so as to meet more international friends and spend meaningful time with them. Lastly, my special thanks go to all the members who contributed to organizing this program.”
