CAU’s Office of International Affairs Presents Teacher Training Certificate to Participants from an Uzbekistan University

CAU’s Office of International Affairs holds a ceremony to present teacher training certificate for the first semester of 2017 to participants from Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT)–CAU’s partner university in Uzbekistan–from 10 a.m. on June 22nd, 2017 (Thursday). In this semester, one participant, two participants, and one participant from TUIT took part in the teacher training program provided by School of Computer Science and Engineering, College of ICT Engineering; School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, College of ICT Engineering; and Department of Library and Information Science, College of Social Sciences, respectively.

These participants extended their gratitude to advisory professors as well as the Office of International Affairs of CAU, saying that they would like to not only spread Korea’s advanced educational culture to their home country, but build on further experience in Korea in the future.

Mukhammadjonov Sherzod, who participated in the teacher training program provided by Department of Library and Information Science, said, “I was able to visit various libraries in Korea during this training program, which is why I want to express my particular appreciation to CAU’s Department of Library and Information Science. I would like to actively apply what I’ve learned at CAU to Uzbekistan National Library Foundation Project which will be initiated as soon as I arrive in Uzbekistan.”

In response, Executive Director Hong Jun-hyun of CAU’s Office of International Affairs said, “It is especially pleasing in the sense that CAU provided meaningful experience for all the participants of the teacher training program. In addition, it is even meaningful that these participants, based on their experience in this program, have a favorable image towards Korea. I sincerely hope that experience at CAU has a positive impact on the participants’ future.”

CAU’s Office of International Affairs has implemented the teacher training program targeting TUIT teachers since 2014.
